Branding Services

I work with businesses to design a brand identity – everything that plays into what a business is and how it is seen by its audience or clients. Logos, website design, even specifics like individual fonts and colors to use. I ensure the brand is portraying the ‘vibe’ that most clearly matches the business’ goals in the eyes of the public.

What is brand identity?

Brand identity is the visible elements that define a business. Logos, colors, typography, and more that communicate who a business or person is.

But branding is much more than just a logo and colors. It is the combination of identity, strategy, and customer experience that merges into the brand image.

Identity is just the tip of the iceberg – the visual elements like a logo.

Strategy is the mission and values that guide a business.

Customer experience is the tone, quality, and acts that determine how customers feel about a business.

Good branding relies on differentiation, recognition, and trust with your customers.

What do I do?

I am a graphic designer at heart. I love creating unique, recognizable, and story-driven brand identities that set businesses apart and build connections with their audiences.

I work with clients by first determining the business’ goals and audience and researching the appropriate market. This gives me a ‘starting point’ for the business and sets objectives for the branding process.

After research, we begin logo design. As the primary visual element and forefront of your business, the logo is the most crucial and often time-consuming part of the process. I start with 3 directions or ideas to narrow down the client’s vision.

Design is an iterative process and requires many revisions and edits to get it right. This part of the process can be sluggish, but the outcome is well worth the wait.

What does the client get out of this?

The master deliverable is the brand style guide. This is a single document outlining all of the following elements of the brand identity.

A complete logo system is much more than just one design. It is often difficult to use the same logo on your business storefront and as your social media icon. A logo system is at least 2 versions of the same logo that work for different purposes.

The color palette is a set of colors that look good, communicate the right mood or vibe of the business, and are legible in different contexts. It is important to remember legibility when picking colors, looking especially at contrast and common types of color blindness.

Typography is the use of fonts throughout brand assets. It is important to keep this consistent for a clear visual identity.

I provide a variety of files for different uses.

Source files (.ai or .eps) are editable versions of the completed designs

Transparent files (.png) and high-resolution files (.jpg) are perfect for most use cases.

Print-ready files (.pdf) are good for posters, flyers, and other print applications.
